Wire Drawing
This process consists in reducing the diameter of a copper or aluminum wire through a set of dice that have an internal conical shape (a large inlet and a smaller outlet).
The process, mechanical at first, must have an additional annealing process where the wire leaving the last drawing die, has to be submitted to heating for recovering its properties. The annealing is performed by applying temperature to the wire or by making a short circuit on the wire for reaching the optimum temperature for recovering the material properties.
